ROOMS
The Sea Lodge features 128 guest rooms of which 30 are beachfront,
37 are coastal and 61 overlook the hotel's pool or garden patio. The
scenery is, indeed, one of the Sea Lodge's greatest assets. North-,
south-, and west-facing guest rooms, especially those on the second
and third floors, afford breathtaking and unmatched views of the ocean,
coastline and fiery sunsets, which are made all the better by the
"never-rains-in-Southern-California" climate (well hardly
ever). Upstairs units open onto private balconies, and ground-floor
units onto lanais. Third floor rooms are accented with cathedral-style
ceilings.
Accommodations are available with a king or two beds and are furnished
with table and chairs, television, alarm clock radio, small refrigerator,
coffee maker (with complimentary coffee, tea, sugar and cream), and
a vanity area with a hair dryer and an iron and ironing board. Thirteen
of the rooms are also equipped with kitchenettes and 88 rooms are
designated non-smoking. In addition, one of the rooms, the La Jolla
Suite, has a living room, full kitchen, separate bedroom and oversized
bathroom
DINING
After a day of sun-bathing, those with hearty appetites will find
the answer to their gastronomic desires at The Shores Restaurant,
located on the hotel's oceanfront. Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner,
the Shores Restaurant offers a Coastal American cuisine, along with
a panoramic piece de resistance provided by floor-to-ceiling windows
that run the length of the restaurant and adjacent Shores lounge.
The Marine Room - a tradition of sophisticated dining
that has flourished for more than half a century on the sands of La
Jolla Shores. Graceful service and soft music complement a superb
wine list and Haute Cuisine menus as created by award-winning Executive
Chef, Bernard Guillas.
